Great Lakes Psychiatric - Training, Teaching and Consulting provides evidence-based practice support and resources to mental health providers, including medication management and psychotherapies so that they can best serve their consumers.
Our outpatient mental health practice serves Emmet, Cheboygan, Charlevoix, Antrim, and Grand Traverse Counties. Along with a majority of the Upper Pennisula, and some parts of Canada. We offer access in our rural communities to board certified psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, Master Social Workers, and support staff. Medication management is provided partially via tele-medicine, which the patient views the health care professional on our 60-inch life size monitor. We offer on sight medication management with our mental health nurse practitioners. Our accomodations offer seating for individual up to group sessions with the doctor. The registered nurse serves as your on site video liason. Our Nurse Practitioners see patients part time on site as well as via tele-med.
We bring integrated health care to the Northern Michigan area. We work close with primary care or other health care providers and other therapists to ensure clients receive complete treatment and support necessary for optimal health.
We are excited to announce our newest addition Kristen Herriman, LPC who will be providing therapy services to adults; along with art and play therapy for adolescents. In the summer she will also off EMDR therapies . Geraldine Dorris, PMHNP-BC, Anthony DiLoreto, DNP-PMHNP-BC and Natalie Ducastel, PMHNP-BC offer medication reviews along with Dr. Kevin Batterbee our medical director. Derek Johnson, LMSW and Ginger Fricke, LMSW continue to accept new clients for therapy sessions. Great Lakes TTC also has evening appointments on Mondays to off set school and work schedules during the school semester. .We bill for Blue Cross Blue Shield, BCN, Priority Health, McLaren-Commercial, Medicare, and Tricare. We do provide billing services for other insurance companies. Great Lakes TTC, LLC. does not accept medicaid isurance.
Natalie Ducastel, PMHNP-BC is also offering testing for attention deficit concerns. The evaluation includes evidenced based computer testing to provide supportive documentation and confirm approrpiate diagnosis. She is able to manage medications related to the outcome of testing or prepare reports to collaborate with other Primary Care Physicians or providers.
Ginger Fricke, LMSW is also C.A.A.D.C certified and has long term experience with drug and alcohol additction therapies and recovery. She has worked with Harbor Hall and court systems in the process of aiding individuals coping with addictions, now in an outpatient setting.
